The BEST Method for Sharing the Gospel
One day a lady criticized D.L. Moody for his methods of evangelism in attempting to win people to the Lord.
Moody's reply was: “I agree with you. I don’t like the way I do it either. Tell me, how do you do it?”
The lady replied, “I don’t do it.”
Moody retorted, “Then I like my way of doing it better than your way of not doing it.”
A lame method is better than no method at all when explaining the Gospel.

Getting All The Air Out Of The Glass
Speaking to a large audience, D.L. Moody held up a glass and asked, "How can I get the air out of this glass?"
One man shouted, "Suck it out with a pump!"
Moody replied,"That would create a vacuum and shatter the glass."
After numerous other suggestions Moody smiled, picked up a pitcher of water, and filled the glass. "There," he said, "all the air is now removed."
He then went on to explain that victory in the Christian life is not accomplished by "sucking out a sin here and there," but by being filled with the Holy Spirit.
The point is, unless you're filled with the Holy Spirit, you'll continue to struggle with sins.

Criticizing D. L. Moody
Dwight L. Moody, the famous evangelist, was once told by an irate church lady, "Mr. Moody, I don't like the way you do your evangelism."
In reply, Mr. Moody said, "I don't necessarily like all of it either, but it's the best way I know how. Tell me, how do you do it?"
"Oh, I don't," was the reply.
"Well," said Moody, "I like the way I'm doing it better than the way you're not doing it."
It's always easy to know what to do when we don't have to do the job, and very easy to criticize others when we're not doing the work ourselves.

Anonymous Letter to D. L. Moody
D.L. Moody was preaching once and got a note before he preached. All that was on the note was the word "Fool".
He stepped up to the front and said, "This is interesting. I usually get letters from people without a name on it.
Tonight somebody has given me a piece of paper with their name on it but no letter."
