Welcome to Albert's Sermon Illustrations

In this blog, I have collected many stories, quotes, jokes and ideas that I use regularly in my sermons.I have tried to put in the sources and origins of these illustrations. If I have missed some or gotten the wrong sources, please let me know. I will update them. Feel free to use these illustrations for the glory of God. If you have some illustrations that you like to contribute, kindly add them to my blog, so that I and others may benefit from them. God bless!

Without God We Are Nothing

When GOD wanted to create fish, HE spoke to the sea.

When GOD wanted to create trees, HE spoke to the earth.

But when GOD wanted to create man, HE turned to Himself.

Then GOD said: "Let us make man in our image and in our likeness".

Note:
If you take a fish out of the water it will die; and when you remove a tree from the soil, it will also die.

Likewise, when man is disconnected from GOD, he dies.

GOD is our natural environment. We were created to live in His presence. We have to be connected to Him because it is only in Him that our life exists.
Let's stay connected to GOD.
We recall that water without fish is still water but fish without water is nothing.

The soil without the tree is still soil but the tree without soil is nothing.

GOD without man is still GOD but man without GOD is also nothing.
